Counselling
Year 1
Students have an interview in which they are tested on their knowledge of spoken English, phonics, reading, numbers, and basic arithmetic. The interview can be held by the deputy head of primary or the head of academics or a primary teacher.
Year 2
Students have an interview and a written assessment. The interview can be held by the deputy head of primary or the head of academics or a primary teacher.
Years 3 – 6
Students take an admissions test in English and Maths. Those who do not score satisfactorily on the tests can have an additional interview to check if they can be accommodated with a special program.
Years 7-9
Students take an admissions test in English and Maths. Those who do not score satisfactorily on the tests can have an additional interview to check if they can be accommodated with a special program.
Year 10
Students take an admissions test in English and Maths. They must score satisfactorily to be admitted.
Year 11
Students must have studied IGCSE to be accepted into year 11. They must test in all the subjects they are applying to be tested in, a minimum of 5 subjects that should include English, Maths and Science.
Year 12
Students must have completed IGCSEs to be accepted into year 12. The IGCSE scores will determine whether or not they are accepted. (predicted grades/ transcript/ recommendations)
Year 13
Students must have completed IGCSEs and AS to be accepted into year 13. The IGCSE scores will determine whether or not they are accepted.
- Head teacher may request further educational or psychological evaluations, educational documents, parents meeting, additional interview, etc. if he/she deems necessary.
Admission
Parent/guardian of the accepted applicant will pay the required admission fees.
Registration
- Registrar will provide welcome letter and student/parent handbook to the parent/guardian.
- Children will receive books, uniform and other school related material provided by school.
- The head teacher will place registered student to the relevant classes, English, Arabic and French program, according to their level.
